Remote triggered slab Hyalite Peak
From obs: "On our way up the summer trail route to Hyalite Peak our party of three remotely triggered a small avalanche from the skin track at around 9,600ft on a east facing aspect. The storm slab went about 4 inches deep and 150-200ft across a small roll over feature. We were about 150ft away when we triggered the slide."

Woody Ridge
Had Woody Ridge Trail to myself this morning! Doesn’t happen very often! Skiied up a ways and then bushwhacked onto the knob. Skiied north slope. Over a foot of new heavy snow. Snow underneath the fresh was isothermal. Needless to say there were a couple of good faceplants. Stayed right around 30-32degrees. Snowed almost all day. Warmed up for an hour or so.
Bacon Rind
About 6-8 inches of fairly dense new snow with light to no wind. Overcast and humid today with light snow falling.
On southerly aspects, we noted the snow had gotten her wet and slushy during the recent warm spell. The new snow seemed well bonded when we did some hand shear tests, but the base on these aspects was still very wet and unsupportable at lower elevations. It has not had a chance to refreeze yet.
Up higher and on north aspects, the base was less slushy and skied much better.
